The Big City...for animals?

Zootopia is a children and family movie that was released in 2016. The movie is about a small rabbit (Judy Hops) who moves to the big city Zootopia to prove everyone wrong and become a police officer. But when she gets there many things challenge her dream - including the fox Nick Wilde. It's a funny movie with jokes for both adults and kids.

Zootopia also has some hidden meanings in it. Many people and fans of the movies have said that Zootopia is a great way to teach young children about racism. A perfect example of this would be the scene where Judy enters the Police Station for the first time and gets called cute by the front desk worker. Judy instantly tell the front desk worker how it is not ok for any animals other than rabbits to say cute. This can be referring to the N word and how only people from certain ethnicities can say it.

Zootopia shows the different struggles that animals have, and it shows that if you have just one good friend to trust, things can really become easier in life. The movie demonstrates teamwork in many different ways which is great for children to learn. The movie also demonstrates teamwork in many different ways which is great for children to learn.

Every character has a very distinguished personality - some easier to fall in love with than others. A public favourite character seems to be the sloth - Flash. Flash is a desk worker who is very slow. He gets distracted easily and is also kind of adorable. He's definitely one that is easy to love and laugh with.

Personally I really love the movie overall. I think it's a fun, enjoyable movie that also has some life lessons in it about racism and discrimination. The entire storyline is beautiful and the characters are unique and really make the audience laugh. I give this movie a 9.5 out of 10. It's not the best movie in the entire world but I also don't have anything bad to say about it.
