media makes us think we need to look a certain way to be beautiful or successful. Young girls and boys are getting instagram, tiktok, magazines, and they're seeing these bodies advertised as hot, sexy, perfect, then these young, naive, impressionable children are falling into eating disorders and unhealthy eating patterns because of it. Because of these models all having the same body size/type, people feel the need to look the same as them to fit in to society. When really, what we should be teaching younger people is how to learn to love themselves just the way they are. And teach them that being healthy isn't eating as little as possible and working out every day for hours and hours. Being healthy is living in moderation and have a little bit of everything, and working out because you feel motivated and because you want to feel strong and not to lose weight. How we as humans see ourselves is super important, so why can' we see ourselves as beautiful just the way we are.
